My Approach
My Approach
This is therapy that works at the level where patterns actually shift.
The work integrates insight, nervous system regulation, and embodiment so that change is not only understood intellectually, but experienced physiologically.
We may work with:
Nervous system responses that keep you anxious, shut down, or on high alert
Core beliefs about yourself formed in unsafe or overwhelming environments
Body-based patterns linked to emotional eating, people-pleasing, dissociation, or collapse
The ARCC Voice Process™
Authentic Presence. Relational Connection. Compassionate Change.
At the heart of my work is The ARCC Voice Process™, a therapeutic approach grounded in the belief that healing happens when we feel safe enough to express what has remained unheard.
Many people spend years carrying conversations silently inside their minds. They replay painful moments, imagine what they wish they had said, or hold onto emotions they never felt safe enough to express. Over time, these unspoken thoughts can become deeply embedded, shaping self-beliefs, relationships and the way we respond to the world.
The ARCC Voice Process™ offers a different experience.
During therapy, I may gently invite you to speak aloud to someone who has had a significant impact on your life. This could be a parent, partner, former partner, your younger self, or even the critical inner voice that has influenced how you see yourself. Sometimes we use an empty chair simply as a focus for that conversation, creating a safe space to express what has remained unsaid.
Speaking aloud is more than simply talking.
When you put your thoughts into words, you engage multiple areas of the brain involved in language, memory, emotion and self-awareness. Hearing your own voice allows your brain to process your experiences in a different way, helping thoughts become clearer, emotions become more accessible, and new perspectives begin to emerge.
Many clients stop halfway through and quietly say,
“I didn’t realise that’s how I really felt until I heard myself say it.”
That moment is often the beginning of change.
The ARCC Voice Process™ isn’t about finding the perfect words or changing another person.
It’s about helping you reconnect with your own voice, express what has been held inside, and discover that your thoughts, feelings and experiences deserve to be heard with compassion.
As your confidence grows, the relationship you have with yourself begins to change. Self-criticism can soften. Boundaries become clearer. Your authentic voice becomes stronger.
Because lasting change doesn’t begin when someone else finally hears you.
It begins when you hear yourself.
Sometimes the most important person who needs to hear your voice… is you.
This work is built on:
Safety before exposure
Choice rather than pressure
Change that your body can sustain
You do not need fixing. You need support that respects how your system learned to survive.
